Outcome 3: Research Genre Production

Students will be able to produce writing that demonstrates their ability to navigate choices and constraints in a variety of public and/or academic research genres that matter to specific communities.

Why and how do they fit the criteria (criteria of outcome)? Be as specific as possible here.

• For this outcome, I chose Writing Project 2 and the Sharing OUR Methods and Research Questions assignment. These assignments helped me to use public research to produce writing that mattered to specific communities. For Writing Project 2 I used Reddit, an online discussion platform, to gather research on a topic of stress that catered towards the community of nurses. The Sharing OUR Methods and Research Questions assignment helped me to accomplish the outcome by sharing my work to my peers to allow feedback.

For outcome 3, these 2 assignments are most significant to me and were impactful to my writing because they helped me to better use public research within my own constructed writing.
